Hypnosis — accessing the deeper self

A gentle, focused way of working with the subconscious mind — to release deep-rooted patterns, fears, and limiting beliefs. Available for adults and, with a specially adapted approach, for children.

Working with the subconscious mind

Hypnosis is an approach that uses a relaxed, focused state of awareness — often called a trance — to work directly with the subconscious mind. In this state, the conscious mind quiets, and deep-seated beliefs, memories, and emotional patterns become more accessible and open to change.

Combined with Transactional Analysis, hypnosis becomes a powerful tool for script change — reaching the early decisions formed in childhood that TA identifies, and gently dissolving the ones that no longer serve you.

You remain fully in control throughout the session. Hypnosis is not about losing awareness — it is about deepening it.

What hypnosis can help with:

✦ Anxiety & stress
✦ Low self-worth
✦ Phobias & fears
✦ Unwanted habits
✦ Sleep difficulties
✦ Life transitions
✦ Limiting beliefs
✦ Emotional blocks

Hypnosis is a complementary method. It does not replace medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment.

What to expect in a session

🌿
Preparation

We begin with a conversation about your goals and what you'd like to address. No prior experience with hypnosis is needed.

🌙
The session

Using guided relaxation and focused attention, we enter a calm, receptive state. You are aware throughout — there is no loss of control.

✨
Integration

We close by reflecting on the experience together and discussing any insights. Some clients notice a shift in perspective after the first sessions.

For children

Children's Hypnosis: a gentle dive into the world of imagination

Is your child facing fears, difficulties at school (concentration and constant "fidgeting"), or restless sleep? Children are natural masters of hypnosis. Every time they immerse themselves completely in play, or listen to a fairy tale with their mouth open, they are in a state very similar to a trance. This natural ability is exactly what we work with.

How it works

How does hypnosis help your child?

Hypnosis is not "magic", but a safe and relaxed state of focused attention. Through stories, metaphors and play, we support the child to:

🦁Copes more easily with fears and worries (fear of performing, animals, the dark).
🌟Builds self-confidence and a kinder self-image.
📚Focuses more easily when learning and responds more calmly in tense moments at home.
🌿Lets go of unwanted habits such as nail-biting.
🌙Settles more easily at bedtime.
For physical concerns such as bed-wetting, or for long-lasting difficulties with sleep or attention, please have your child seen by a paediatrician first. Hypnosis can be complementary support, but it does not replace medical or psychological treatment.

Why hypnosis

Why choose hypnosis for children?

Unlike adults, children do not have strong critical factors. Their mind is open to new suggestions, provided these are presented in a fun and relatable way. The session takes place in a relaxed atmosphere, where the child feels safe and heard.

The process

How does a session unfold?

1

Getting-to-know conversation

First I talk with you (the parents) and then with the child, to establish a bond of trust.

2

Entering the world of imagination

I guide the child through a relaxing story, where together we discover their "inner superpowers".

3

Positive changes

Through playful suggestions we support new ways of thinking and responding.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

At what age is hypnosis suitable for children?
Children's hypnosis is generally suitable from around the age of 5, when a child can follow a story and use their imagination. The approach is always adapted to the child's age, maturity, and attention span — for younger children it looks much more like guided imaginative play.
Is hypnosis safe for my child?
Yes. Hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of focused attention that children enter easily and often on their own during play. The child remains aware the entire time, hears everything that happens, and can open their eyes and stop at any moment. Sessions follow professional ethical principles.
Will my child lose control or fall asleep?
No. Hypnosis is not sleep and it is not loss of control. Your child stays fully aware, hears everything, and remembers the session. It is more like being deeply absorbed in a favourite film or story — relaxed, focused, and safe.
Do I as a parent need to be present?
For the first, getting-to-know conversation, parents are always involved. Whether you remain in the room during the session itself depends on the child's age and comfort — we decide together what helps your child feel safest. Younger children often prefer a parent nearby.
How many sessions will my child need?
This varies with the child and the concern. With some children changes are noticeable after a few sessions; others need more time. During the first meeting I can give you a clearer sense of what to expect for your child's specific situation.
What kinds of difficulties can it help with?
Common areas include fears and anxiety (such as fear of the dark, animals, or performing), low self-confidence, difficulties with concentration and behaviour at school and at home, unwanted habits like nail-biting, and restless sleep. For physical concerns such as bed-wetting, please see a paediatrician first. Hypnosis is a complementary method and does not replace medical or psychological treatment.
What do we need to prepare before the first session?
Before the first session, please download and complete the required consent form (and, for minors, the parental consent form signed by a parent or guardian) and bring it with you. It also helps to think about the main concern you would like to address, so we can focus our work together from the start.
